Commercial Roofing- Timeline will vary based on the size of the project

How can we get an estimate?

We offer instant residential budget estimates on our website. Most residential estimate requests can be completed within 1 hour. Commercial estimates will depend on the project specifications.

Do we have to be out of the house when you are replacing the roof?

Absolutely not! Our projects can be loud at times however, we do our very best to accommodate our clients.

How do you calculate the number of shingles I will need for my roof?

Our mathematical formulas are based on decades of experience and standard industry estimating practices.

Why is there discoloring in my roof?

Asphalt shingles are prone to algae and fungal growth in climates where ambient moisture content (humidity) is high. Areas of the roof which do not receive direct sunlight have a harder time defending against algae growth however, many of the products we install have additives (zinc, copper, etc.) which prevent algae growth and discoloration. Enrolling in our Friends and Family program gains you access to service and maintenance options which help defend against and mitigate algae growth and discoloration.

What kind of ventilation can I use on my roof?

There are two types of roof ventilation systems - active and passive. Active ventilation systems incorporate the use of thermostat controlled intake and exhaust fans which circulate hot air out of your attic. Active systems are the preferred method for roof ventilation. Passive ventilation systems rely on the prevailing wind to enter the attic through the soffits and exit the attic through the ridge vent which utilizes internal baffles to allow hot air to exhaust while preventing rain and moisture from entering the ridge vent.

Flat roof system ventilation plans also have passive and active systems. Active systems are similar to steep slope roof ventilation systems explained above. Passive ventilation systems for flat roofs utilizes one-way moisture release vents which allow the vented space to exhaust through the release vents while defending against moisture intrusion at the vent location.

What siding material do you recommend using?

Fiber-cement siding (Hardie Board) and vinyl siding applications work best in high moisture and humidity climates like Savannah. Brick veneer and tabby stucco (which is correctly flashed) has a proven track record of success. EIFS (Exterior Insulated Finish System) is a local favorite of many commercial building owners. We also install painted or stained wood siding applications, slate, metal, and cedar shake siding.

My home was damaged by a storm, what is the turn time to fix this?

Our Friends and Family Program is specifically designed to prepare homeowners and commercial property owners for storm damage mitigation and real estate transactions. Most property owners do not even realize their insurance policy requires documented regular maintenance. The program participation is free and your enrollment allows us to provide an inspection report which provides replacement cost value estimate(s), predicted life limits, and service and maintenance plans. Our program participants can call in each year and have their report updated free of charge. Once our customers suffer storm damage, one phone call guarantees front of the line privileges for emergency tarping and crew access. We review the historical pricing which has been provided during the program participation and schedule your repair or replacement immediately.

I got my check from the insurance adjuster for the damage, now what?

If you have a mortgage, most likely your mortgage company will also be included as a party on the check. You will need to have the mortgage company endorse the check and disperse the funds to you so that you can pay for the necessary repairs. We assist all owners in navigating this cumbersome process.

Will you work with my insurance company to help me move forward with my roofing job?

We work with YOU! We will assist you in scheduling and attending your adjustment. Our proposal will be prepared for the adjuster prior to their arrival so that the process includes all the line items that require repair. Insurance law changes regularly. We work for YOU and ensure that our estimate is a complete reflection of the necessary cost and scope to complete the job on time and in budget.

What sets you apart from your competition?

Georgia does not have a Roofing License requirement and generally does not enforce trade practices like many other states require. We are licensed in multiple states to include Florida (Unrestricted) which is the most difficult professional roofing license to earn. We have participated in Federal, State, and local government projects. Our bonding capacity gives us the ability to pursue project types that most roofers would not be eligible to participate in. We have General Liability, Workers Compensation, and Commercial Auto insurance coverage. Our focus on technical proficiency and client satisfaction has earned us the privilege of being voted Savannah's Best Roofer since 2013. We have office locations in GA, FL, SC, WV and OH and remain ready to mobilize wherever we are needed!
